Speed to lead

The first reply wins, and it is rarely the best one

A lead arrives, a workflow builds their page, and it goes out while they are still on your website. Not a form receipt, a person.

The problem

The lead is warmest in the first few minutes

Someone filling in a form at nine in the evening is comparing you against everyone else they filled one in for. By morning the interest has cooled, and an autoresponder only confirms that a machine received something.

What it costs you

  • Leads arriving at nine in the evening and answered at nine the next morning
  • An autoresponder that confirms receipt and persuades nobody
  • Three competitors replying to the same inquiry
  • A rep deciding which lead to call by which is at the top of the list

How it runs

Speed to lead in practice

  1. The CRM starts it

A new lead, contact or opportunity in your CRM fires a workflow. So does a webhook, if the lead arrives from somewhere with no direct connector.

  2. The page builds itself

From a template, assigned to the right rep, optionally round-robin, with the customer’s details already on it. Nobody has to be at a desk for this to happen.

  3. It goes out by email or text

Within business hours if you want it to be, immediately if you do not. The reply that arrives is a person on video rather than a receipt.

  4. The rep picks up a warm one

By the time somebody calls, the customer has seen who they are dealing with, and the rep can see what they watched.

Questions

Common questions

Is this an autoresponder?

It is automatic, but what arrives is not a form letter: it is a page with a real person on it, built for that customer, from the rep who will handle them. The difference is what the customer does next.

Can it pick the right rep?

Yes. A workflow can assign the page to a fixed owner or round-robin across a team, and route on a field from the record, so territory or product decides who the customer meets.

What if we do not want to send at 2am?

A workflow can wait for business hours before it sends, so the lead is captured immediately and the message arrives when a reply to it would be answered.
